Malta is typically Mediterranean with a mix of lively towns and sleepy fishing villages. With over 7,000 years of history cultural attractions are plentiful. The warm climate coupled with breathtaking scenery make Malta a perfect place to visit any time of year. Whether you want to explore this historical island or relax on its fantastic beaches Malta has something to offer everyone when you're not on the bowling greens. Mellieha, found in the north west of Malta is around 40 minutes from the airport. This quiet and relaxed town is becoming more popular with tourists and boasts a wide variety of local bars and restaurants. Only a mile outside of the town is Mellieha Bay, Malta's biggest beach, where the shallow waters and golden sands make it the perfect place to relax. Cyprus has a rich history and romantic mythology which adds an exciting touch to this popular sun soaked Mediterranean destination. It's the place where according to legend, Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, emerged from the sea and the island that Anthony gave as a gift to Cleopatra, and it's easy to see why! There are wonderful beaches, beautiful scenery and a superb sunshine record. In the winter season the emphasis is on the long lazy promenades and gentle scenic strolls.
