There are four great resorts to choose from for your bowls holiday in Portugal:
Praia da Rocha is a very popular resort set in the western Algarve, the main attraction being the magnificent beach and wonderful marina. It also has a 2 mile long promenade with shops and restaurants perfect for an evening stroll after dinner.

Only 45 minutes from the airport, Albufeira is a bustling tourist town that offers something for everyone. There's the pretty old town, with its lovely stone buildings and delightful old harbour, or alternatively stroll along the 'Strip', a long, pedestrian street with an incredible number of bars, cafés and restaurants which has something to suit every taste and budget!

Vilamoura, only 30 minutes from the airport, boasts the largest Marina in Europe which is bursting with yachts and power boats. There's some wonderful stretches of beach, good value hotels and plenty to do away from the bowling greens. There's also a cosmopolitan feel to the area and it's great for a pleasant stroll with plenty of shops, bars and cafés. This is a great destination for an Algarve bowling holiday.

Tavira, in the Eastern Algarve is only 45 minutes from the airport and is a much less touristy, extremely charming resort. Set amongst the Ria Formosa National Park, it's quiet with a rugged landscape and unspoilt coastline, but is also a bustling town. Explore the town of Tavira and you'll find a colourful market and some great local restaurants that are well worth investigating. Add to this a stunning 7 arch Roman bridge and no less than 37 churches and you can see its appeal.
