It’s with great Sadness I have to announce
the death of Jackie Smith who died last week in the Costa del Sol hospital,
after being very poorly in intensive care. Jackie and Don have been at Mijas
bowls club for 12 years and become good bowlers. Don is our currant club men’s
champion’ though Jackie had not bowled for a while, she had also been a good
bowler. She helped in the club with bar and B.B.Q. duties. They have many good
friends who shall miss Jackie. There was a memorial for her at the club last
Tuesday after the crematorium. Their Daughter came from Australia, and son came
from the UK. Friends and family were able to see photos of Jackie through the
years and it was a really nice way to remember her. She will be sadly missed by
all her family, and friends at Mijas Bowl’s club.
