Hi John Since we left Spain some...years ago we have followed bowls on your website on a daily/weekly basis. Directly after coming back to Sweden we felt emty without bowls. So we made a committment that we will start this sport in Sweden. Now two and a half years later Sweden will be participating in the Short mat bowls world championships to be hold next weekend just outside Antwerpen in Belgium. Short mat is very lookalike to outdoor bowls even if itsmuch faster and shorter........... Tommy is the organizer and also the president of the Swedish Bowls federation. Bente together with our oldest son Anders is the competeters (as always) our youngest son Niklas as you might remember play also a little but because he is studying at the University of Gothenburg he doesn´t have the neccessary time. In the world championships Anders will play singels and Bente and Tommy will be playing trips. We hope that we can give the scottish, english, irish and wales players a good game at least. So one day we hope that we also can play with the spanish team.
