| 08/01/2008 - News from New Zealand - Angie Goodfellow |
|
Hi John,
Whilst on the flight over to NZ one
of the members of the Spanish National Team travelling to the
World Bowls event at Christchurch, Angie Goodfellow, had a
prolonged severe headache and on arrival was taken to Hospital
where ishe was diagnosed as suffering from an aneurysm on the
brain.
After a couple of days she was
operated on today (NZ time) and she came through the operation.
The staff woke her up and called her name to her. She
acknolwedged them so giving everyone hope that the operation had
gone well.
Angie's husband Phil has been
provided with a bed in the hospital near to Angie. Her Mum is
also there and is talking about taking Angie back with her to
Australia where she lives, for recuperation.
My information came from Carol Meare,
one of the team members, who very kindly telephoned me this
morning with the news.
We all wish her well for a full and
speedy recovery.
Best Regards,
Iain Donaldson.
On behalf of
all the members of Bowls Algarve,
may we wish Angie Goodfellow a swift and speedy recovery.
Best Regards
Paul
Johnson
