06/12/2006 - Andalucian Bowling Federation, (FAB), New Corporate Licence Fee

The Secretaries, Andalucian Lawn Bowls Clubs

Corporate Licence Fee

I am pleased to inform you that the National Executive has completed arrangements with the Federacion Andaluza de Bolos (Andalucian Bowling Federation) for the introduction on a trial basis for the year 2007 of a Corporate Licence Fee to cover all a clubs members. This fee will cover membership of both the F.E.B  and the F.A.B and will be calculated at the rate of 20 euros for every playing member on the clubs books for the 2006/7 season..( This is a very competitive rate bearing in mind that as late as 2004 members were paying 18 euros for an F.A.B. licence alone).A list of members and payment should be received as soon as possible after the 1st. January 2007  as the insurance cover does not commence until the licences, which will continue to be issued individually, have been issued.

New members joining after the initial list has been  submitted will be  regarded as Federated members and able to take part in all Federated activities although they will not be covered by the insurance policy until they are formally included in the payment of  2008 fees.

This fee is an alternative to the prevailing arrangements under which a member takes out an individual licence. This scheme will continue for the members of any club that does not adopt the Corporate Licence for 2007 and the cost will be 29 euros per head.

Clubs adopting the Corporate Licence fee will not be required to pay the Capitation Fee due annually to World Bowls as this will become the responsibility of the F.E.B.

Your executive hopes that all clubs will adopt the new procedure as this will represent a substantial increase in our representation in both Federations with the consequent increase in financial and other support.

Tony Winterton.
