Training Sessions For 2010
The following dates & Venues have been selected for Training sessions during 2010.
I have not yet secured green space but anticipate using, Mazarron, El Rancho & at least one session at Indalo. Emerald Isle will also be used for the Guernsey, Wales & England Test Matches. The Dates are flexible in case of other possible Test Matches. I am also looking at the possibility of a Provincial Game.
February Sat. 20th & Sun. 21st Test Match against Guernsey @ Emerald Isle
March Fri.19th to Mon. 22nd Invitation

April Friday 16th & Sat. 17th Test Match Spain v Wales @ Emerald Isle
May Sat. 8th & Sun. 9th Test Match against England @ Emerald Isle
June Sun. 20th & Mon. 21st Whole Squad ( Mazarron )
September Sat. 18th & Sun. 19th Whole Squad
October/November Sun. 31st & Mon. 1st Nov Test Match v Portugal @ Indalo October Fri. 29th & Sat. 30th Iberian Challenge v Portugal @ Indalo
We recognise that these dates may give problems for some of you within your own Clubs, such as rounds to obtain qualification for the National Championships, but we are confident that not only would you wish to attend the training sessions, but your Clubs would also wish to support you in every way possible. We would like to advise Team members, under the By-Laws for Sports Clubs, which all Federated Clubs have signed up to, under Article 6, Clubs Obligations with respect to Federated sportsmen/women:- "The Club shall be obliged to place at the disposal of the corresponding Sport Federation, its members who are Federated sportsmen/women such that they may participate in sports teams, etc, etc."
Also
"Likewise, the club shall place at the disposal of the Federations, its members who are Federated sportsmen/women, for participation in specific Sport Training Programmes."

19/22 March Friday Monday Invitation match against Malaga Select at Indalo Bowling Cub on 21/22 March Promotional Rinks Matches Malaga Select against Indalo 19/20 March also on 20th National Squad against Indalo. 10 Ladies + 10 men for Invitation Matches 6 rinks mixed in Promotion matches
16/17 April Friday Saturday Test Match against Wales 6 ladies and 6 men Venue Emerald Isle Bowling Club Wales playing Promotion game against San Miguel morning of 15 April
20/30 April Australia Indoor World Cup Singles International Invitation 1 lady 1 man
8/9 May Saturday Sunday Test match against England 6 ladies 6 men Venue Emerald Isle Bowling Club England playing Promotion game against Greenlands morning of 6 May
20/21 June Training for full squad Venue still to be arranged. Players from host club to play against the squad on 21st.
18/19 September Training for full squad Venue still to be arranged Players from host club to play against the squad on 19th
29/1 October/November Friday Monday Test Match against Portugal 31/1 10 ladies 10 men Venue Indalo Bowling Club The Iberian Challenge, a six rink match between supporters of Spain and Portugal held on 29/30
In addition to the above, it is hoped that a number of one to one and a half day promotional matches can be held in the future between the national squad and individual clubs. The format and match arrangements to be agreed with the clubs wishing to be involved with priority being given to clubs with the largest number of federated players.
