COSTA DEL SOL LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE

 

There was a thrilling climax to the Winter Season with the outcome of the Lions’ League being decided on the result of a re-arranged fixture, the Semi-Finals and Final of the Presidents’ Fours, and the League Cup Final, all within 3 days of each other.

 

LIONS’ LEAGUE FIXTURE : 23 MARCH, 2012

 

What an end to proceedings. Needing 3 points to take the title, Aloha took on Lauro, the League’s bottom Club, and the Match went to the wire. Lauro have developed a habit of losing to the last Bowl throughout the Season but, on this occasion, they held on to deprive their visitors of the League Title and give the crown to Mijas.
