2008 Winter Championships Honours Shared by the Clubs!Superbowl dominate the pairs and triples!April 2008- Santa Maria BC

In the Main Event, the Men’s Singles, Gordon Adams, Benavista BC, pulled away from Frank Ball, Benalmadena BC, in the early stages. Frank overtook Gordon with a serious 3 shot ends to lead 19-13. Gordon maintained his composure and pegged away to win by 21-19. No such dramatic end in the Ladies Singles, where Diane Chambers, Belplaya BC, excelled by overpowering Sue Walker, Los Amigos BC. The rest of the finals matches were also fairly one sided, except for the Ladies Pairs, a really close match in which Barbara Land & Pauline Ball, Benalmadena BC, were “pipped at the post” by Angie Knight & Denise Howlett, Superbowl BC. At the presentation, Jimmy Chalmers, from the host club, thanked all the participants, officials & representative from sponsors, Landsbanki Luxembourg SA, Ole Hougaard & Lone Westh Jensen.
