New Lawn Bowling Instructors for Malaga Province

Carr, Miraflores BC & Terry Morgan, Lauro Golf Bowls Club,
successfully completed a course for Lawn Bowls Instructors,
under the auspices of the Spanish Coaching Scheme. This
represented a landmark in the development of Instructor training
courses in Malaga province, as it was directed by a locally
trained bowler, John Carr.
The course content, supplied by Ruth Compton, National Coach, was challenging as it attempts to emphasise the difference between techniques employed by a qualified Instructor, compared with those of an experienced bowler, who will typically ask the beginner to simply copy his or her delivery technique. However, our worthy trainee Instructors rose to the challenge with flying colours and are now anxious to put their newly found skills to practice.
It is hoped that the host clubs of these newly trained Instructors will embrace the skills now available to them.
