More Skills Improvement at Lauro Golf Bowling Club

At the invitation of Terry Morgan, Club Captain, John Carr,
Coordinator for Malaga province Instructors Group, ran a further
morning of intensive training for bowlers at Lauro Golf BC in
July. The weather was hot and challenging, but participants full
of enthusiasm.
The subjects included: Casting the Jack, Improving Weight, Using other bowls in the head, Improving Line, Reading the Head & Building the Head. John managed to ease the problems of excessive heat by holding discussions under shade between each drill. Terry Morgan & Trevor Burgin did an excellent job as Rink Controllers.
The attendees were Claire Dye, Alan Bicknell, Margaret Bicknell, Pam Burgin, Tony Barnes, Brian Freeman, Angie Holt, Barry Holt, Jean Kirchem, Graham Wittridge. All agreed that the session had been well worthwhile and may well have contributed to Lauro Golf’s win over Benalmadena BC on the following Friday in the Triangular Cup, (lookout Mijas BC!).
