07/01/2011 - Trevor Neale - Directors Planning Committee

It was nice to see on the Bowling in Spain web site that the Committee chaired by John Muldoon is planning a 'best ever Nationals'.

Unfortunately the report by Carl Eagle leaves a lot to be desired.
As many of us have live outside bowls as well as friends and family looking for a spring break, it would have been helpful had Carl's report contained any or better still all of the following:

     Clubs selected for Nationals
     What is the original format
     Amount of reduced fees
Location of Cheers Bar (not Boston, I hope)
Running order for singles, pairs, trips and fours and proposed dates and times
Mixed or single sex.   Do men/women play on the same rinks?

The newer expat. bowlers who have not done "the Nationals" before will need this information and it would be a nice reminder to those of us who cannot remember last month let alone last year.

I know that some of the information is already on notice boards in individual clubs, however it is important for us to receive all the available information and preferably on the web site.

Regards
Trevor Neale
