The comments made about our relationship with FBCV may well have damaged the relationship that Jan and I have been building up since I became the Delegado to the FBCV two years ago. We know that both the President and the Treasurer of the FBCV read ‘Bowling in Spain’ and it does not help to publish inopportune remarks about the FBCV in the ‘Bowlers Forum’ We have been to Valencia to meet the Federation on four occasions and attended the AGM in 2008. Our relationship with the President and Treasurer is getting better as they appreciate that we are working with them to improve our understanding of the Laws and Rules surrounding the Federation and finances. I am very pleased that Andalucia have managed to attend their Federation Presidential Elections, be assured that we will be attending the FBCV elections when they are held next year. Finally, the Costa Blanca runs the most successful Competitions, Leagues, and Opens in Spain. Between the Federation, CBBA, SABA and the individual clubs we have a bowling calendar which has very little space. The Lawn Bowlers in Alicante do not need to be told to ‘Go for it’ we have already done it!!
