12/02/2009 - Tony Millington Replies to Tony McKenna - Playing for Spain - The Way Forward |
|
I think you touch on a very important issue. That is opinions are currently being formed without the information required to form an clear view. It is just a pity that full reports and current thinking are not published on the web for all federation members to see and, where appropriate, exchange views on the issues. At least an Annual Report would be a start. For example many federation members complain about the cost of membership and believe that, because very little comes back to their local area that it must be spent on National Events and the Squad. A quick look at the annual accounts prepared by Tony Winterton make it quite clear that this not the case and show that the National Squad is run on a very small budget - but not everybody reads annual accounts nor understand them. I hope you and the Squad continue to develop and by doing so make a growing contribution to Word Bowls and may, perhaps, meet you at the Squad session at Cabrera BC.. Regards Tony Millington

Webmaster:
I am always pleased to publish any
contributions sent by members of the Federations. Currently,
I receive regular communications from the Malaga delegation
and from Tony Winterton. I would be very happy to publish
the document referred to by Tony McKenna. |
